This is my “Now” page. It’s different from an “About” page in that it’s meant to share what I feel is important right now — in my life and in my thoughts. Sort of what I’d want to share with a friend who hasn’t heard from me in a long time and is curious what I’m up to.
My plan is to update this a couple times a month, rotating in different headings as seems appropriate . . .
The Beatles, by Bob Spitz
The Practicing Stoic (*), by Ward Starnsworth
The Summer Game, by Roger Angell
Lord of the Flies (*), by William Golding
Possession, by A.S. Byatt
A Walk In the Woods (*), by Bill Bryson
Dombey and Son, by Charles Dickens (narrated by David Timson)
The Cubs Way (*), by Tom Verducci
The Chicago Cubs: Story of a Curse, by Rich Cohen – just finished
Young Men in Spats, by PG Wodehouse – just finished
The Beatles (still) . . . Literally every single album by The Beatles.
The new way I’ve arranged my comfiest chair in front of my stereo, so I can work with my MacBook Pro and have a cat on each side of me.
Being able to see wildlife every day. Always some raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, and bunnies. But often deer as well. And possums. And wild turkeys. And even bears!
Rain. We’ve really needed some, and boy are we getting it.
1.) Still working on my next two courses slated for summer and fall.
2.) Still wrapping up the re-opening of a new AWAKE Group!
3.) Planning out a series of training webinars (should be real cool).
And that brings us up to date as we roll through the third week of July 2020.
.
Miss a week? Since I’m taking the time to write these up, I’ve decided I might as well maintain an archive — which you can look back through one at a time if you’re not only curious about NOW but at all wondering about what I was up to THEN . . .
